recycle-more.co.uk launched a new UK-wide recycling text service in 2008,
allowing users to find their nearest recycling facility to recycle anything from plastic milk bottles to old toasters, via their mobile phone.
Text 'waste' and any UK postcode to 60060, and you will receive a text back with details of your nearest recycling site for packaging
Alternatively, text 'elec' and any UK postcode to 60060, and you will receive a text back with details of your nearest recycling site for waste electrical goods
The text service
aims to make it even easier for everyone to find their nearest recycling site
for both packaging and waste electrical goods, helping to increase recycling
rates throughout the UK. More information on the service can be found in our
